Every piece we make starts long before the first cut. It starts with a material that has its own history: a slab of stone whose veins took millennia to form, a fibre woven slowly by hand until it catches the light, a dark surface traced with lines of gold so fine they seem drawn rather than set. No two are ever quite the same, and that is exactly why we choose them.
FITTED LINE BY LINE
We work with makers who still measure time in hours per detail, not pieces per day. Inlay is fitted line by line. Finishes are built up layer by layer until the surface feels right under the hand, not just in the eye. The small irregularities that remain are not flaws. They are proof that someone was there, shaping it with care.
CHOSEN AROUND THE BRIEF
For each project, the material is chosen around the brief, never pulled from a catalogue. Together we explore what suits the space, which technique does the material justice and how it should age. What comes out is an object that exists only once, made for one place and one story.
